We are turning up the volume on our Save Jackson campaign, with advertisements reaching newspapers and radio stations across Miami-Dade County. Our ad sheds light on the ongoing behind-the-scenes efforts to rip apart our public hospital.
Commissioner Rebeca Sosa’s hand-picked task force, which includes Jackson’s private competitors, recommended privatizing Jackson without a public vote.
Our ad is calling on you and other community members to contact Commissioner Sosa and urge her to keep all the greedy hands off Jackson! Our public hospital and our community’s healthcare is not for sale!
Our Save Jackson ad ran in the following newspapers:The Miami Herald, Miami New Times, The Miami Times, El Nuevo Herald, Diarios Las Americas, Daily Business Review and Community Newspapers (including Aventura, Miami Beach, Kendall, Opa Locka, Cutler Bay, South Miami and Coral Gables, Pine Crest and Sunny Isles)
The ad will also was heard on radio stations across South Florida, including WLRN, WIOD, WMBM, Radio Mambi, WQBA, Ponderosa and some Creole stations. In addition, our message will be a regular topic of conversation on Creole and Spanish radio talk shows. Make sure to listen out for them!
